Hair Salon (1)The long-awaited (by me, anyway) hair salon has at last opened in SENI Mont’ Kiara condominium.

elHairbar, owned by Noel Wan, did not hesitate to open his new salon in SENI Mont’ Kiara when he was told about it by an estate agent friend. According to Noel, “I wanted somewhere more subtle and easy going in the right location, so this residential based location is ideal for me.”

Starting out as a hair assistant in KL at age 13, Noel has been around the hair and beauty industry for many years. His brief diversion for several years into the world of graphic design, photography, PR and advertising did not dampen his interest in hairdressing and in fact, he admits to having missing it. Noel returned to KL 16 years ago to regain work in the hair dressing business, and at the same time decided to polish up and refresh his skills.

Noel’s experience of haircutting during his travels around Australia and New Zealand gave him experience of handling and understanding different hair textures. Bringing this knowledge back to KL, Noel worked with a long-time friend as director for her 3 hair salons before deciding to set up his own salon this year.

elHairbar offers the range of hair treatments and soon there will be a nail bar service for clients to enjoy. elHairbar feels like a tranquil retreat in busy Mont’ Kiara. The hairstyling space is light, modern, spacious and welcoming, with Chinese tea on tap. The destination is everything you’d hope for, whether you want a complete colour change, quick trim, hair wash or your nails done.
