IREKA CARES TAKES OPENHANDS CHILDREN TO KL BIRD PARK
Kuala Lumpur, 12 April: To make it a fun outing for 14 children from Open Hands Home, Kajang, IREKA CARES volunteers organised a trip to KL Bird Park last Saturday.
Located in the serene and scenic Lake Gardens, the KL Bird Park is also known as the “World’s Largest Free-flight Walk-in Aviary”, which is home to 3000 birds from 200 species all over the world.
Both the children and the volunteers had an enjoyable day out at the park. The varieties of colours of the birds were beautiful and to see most of them roaming around freely was a delight. The children especially enjoyed the bird show and being able to feed the budgies. The successful day out ended with a scrumptious lunch at the Hornbill Restaurant.
