IREKA HANDS OVER MANAGEMENT OF LUYANG PERDANA TO HOA

Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, 3 December 2011: The management of one of Kota Kinabalu’s most sought-after residential development, Luyang Perdana, was today officially handed over by its developer, Regalmont (Sabah) Sdn Bhd (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ireka Corporation Berhad), to the Luyang Perdana Home Owners’ Association (HOA) today.

Sited on a 26-acre land, Luyang Perdana is a mixed residential development that was transformed from the site of six disused oxidation ponds into an upmarket residential enclave today. The rehabilitation of abandoned ponds is much in line with Ireka’s vision to develop a sustainable modern development from old or dysfunctional waste land or buildings.

The management handover comprises of 150 units of terrace houses, 40 semi-detached houses and 6 units of bungalows. The overall Luyang Perdana development also has other components such as the town villas and shop offices. This exclusive property development, completed from 2005 onwards, offers unparalleled quality of life as being the first gated and guarded community in Kota Kinabalu, that comes with safety features such as perimeter fencing and 24-hour security, amidst a meticulously-crafted landscaping of tropical gardens.

The handing over ceremony of Luyang Perdana was attended by Guest-of-Honour, Yang Berbahagia, Abidin Madingkir, Mayor of Dewan Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu; Lai Voon Hon, Managing Director of Regalmont (Sabah) Sdn Bhd and Executive Director of Ireka Corporation Berhad; Dr Anil Kumar, President of Luyang Perdana Home Owners’ Association; and Liaw Lam Thye, Principal Consultant of Taylor Hobbs. Other distinguished guests, members from the Sabah Housing and Real Estate Developers Association (SHAREDA) and residents of Luyang Perdana were also in attendance.

With security and community safety being carefully planned and designed into beautifully-crafted lush landscaping further heightens the sense of quality living as an added value to this township planning,” said Abidin Madingkir, Mayor of Dewan Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu. “The Municipal Council is always supportive of quality development that will benefit the socio-economic and living conditions of the people in Kota Kinabalu in the long term,” he added.

“We are proud that the low-density residential development of Luyang Perdana, catered to the medium and upper income groups, has been well-received by residents of Kota Kinabalu. This project marks yet another significant achievement of Ireka Group’s product innovation and continuous commitment to quality in raising the standards of high quality living,” said Lai Voon Hon, Managing Director of Regalmont (Sabah) Sdn Bhd and Executive Director of Ireka Corporation Berhad.

Residents’ Testimonials

“Having been a resident of Luyang Perdana for the past 5 years now, I am happy to say that all of us live here with true Malaysian spirits. Despite the different races with different culture and traditions, we exhibit Malaysian values such as tolerance and understanding. The large children’s playground is a great place for all residents to interact, especially when festive parties and gatherings are held there. These activities are not just beneficial for adults, but also for children to learn about each other’s culture and traditions.”
