VIETNAM: IREKA UNIT TO COMPLETE MAIDEN HOSPITAL PROJECT THIS YEAR END
The International Hi-Tech Healthcare Park slated to be the region’s premier medical hub
Kuala Lumpur, 6 April 2012: The City International Hospital located in Vietnam’s largest medical hub, the International Hi-Tech Healthcare Park, is slated to complete by end of 2012. Developed by Hoa Lam-Shangri-La Healthcare Limited Liability Company* and managed by Ireka Development Management Sdn Bhd (a subsidiary of Ireka Corporation Berhad), the City International Hospital is the first general hospital to be completed within the ‘Medical City’ which will eventually have other facilities such as laboratories, medical suites, a staff residential area, medical exhibition centre & shopping mall, serviced apartments, international schools and a residents’ clubhouse.

Currently, the hospital has achieved more than 50% completion, with the majority of brickwork laid. Plaster works, mechanical/ electrical services and the selection of architectural finishes are ongoing, whilst the selection of major medical equipment for City International Hospital to be purchased has recently been completed.
City International Hospital will be managed by ParkwayHealth (‘Parkway’) www.parkwayhealth.com, a Singapore-based leading private healthcare group in Asia, with a network of 16 hospitals and more than 3,400 beds throughout Asia. Under Parkway’s management, the hospital is expected to emerge as the premier healthcare provider addressing the current shortage of world-class, value-based integrated private healthcare services and facilities in Ho Chi Minh City.

City International Hospital will be equipped with the latest medical technology available in the market, such as the Aquillion CLX CT scanner system from Toshiba. With the new coneXact algorithm, the Aquilion CXL is able to generate 128 unique slices per rotation with more detail than ever before. The imaging department is fully equipped with 1.5 Tesla MRI, Fluoroscopy, Mammography, general X-ray, C-arm, 4D ultrasound and bone densitometer.
City International Hospital will also feature the latest technology in lighting for operation theatre with LED lighting system. Patients are monitored via central display physiological waves and parameters for real-time monitoring and ensure patient safety.
Located in the Binh Tan District, the International Hi-Tech Healthcare Park covers an area of approximately 37.6 hectares (or 375,631 m2) and is just 10 km away from the heart of Ho Chi Minh City’s Central Business District. The International Hi-Tech Healthcare Park is easily accessed from the Vo Van Kiet Highway and Highway 1A.
